From Baltimore, MD: Take Interstate 70 west to Frederick, MD, then US 15 south past Point of Rocks, MD, and past Leesburg, VA. Coming into Leesburg go straight ahead. The drive through town is much prettier than the by-pass and not any longer. Follow US 15 south to US 29. Turn right and follow US 29 to Warrenton. (This route via Frederick and Leesburg is about 15 minutes longer than going though Washington, DC, but a whole lot more pleasant.)
From Washington, D.C.: Take Interstate 66 west to Exit 43 (the second US 29 exit). Follow US 29 to Warrenton.
Coming into Warrenton, the highway forks. Do not take 29 south to Culpeper. Instead, take the right fork, US 211 west. Follow US 211 around the north side of Warrenton. At a light just past the Burger King, US 211 turns right and continues west. From Warrenton, follow US 211 west 11 miles. As you pass Route 730 get in the left hand lane. The next turn is yours. Turn left onto Route 642. Follow 642 south 3.8 miles to where it merges with Route 640 coming in from your left. Follow the main road to the right on 640 for another 0.7 mile to a stop sign. Turn left onto Route 729, also known as Richmond Road. Follow 729 for 1.6 miles. West Wind Farm is on the left about 200 yards after the bridge over the Thornton River. From Culpeper: Take US 229 north. Just out of Culpeper turn left on Route 729. Follow 729 to West Wind Farm. It's on the right about 1.1 miles after crossing the county line and about 0.3 mile after passing the Estes general store. The number 206 is on a sign on a post. The mail box is a rooster.
From Luray: Take US 211 east over Thornton Gap, past Sperryville, past Washington, Virginia, and past where US 522 turns north to Front Royal. Stay on US 211. About 2.7 miles after the US 522 turnoff, turn right on Route 729. Stay on 729 about 8.3 miles to West Wind Farm. It's on the left about 200 yards after the bridge over the Thornton River. From Madison: Either come through downtown Culpeper and follow the directions from Culpeper, or come through Sperryville and follow directions from Luray.
From Front Royal: Take US 522 south to US 211. Turn left on US 211. Take US 211 east about 2.7 miles. Turn right on Route 729. Stay on 729 about 8.3 miles to West Wind Farm.
